darling knits

I love knitting for wee ones. It's very gratifying and little garments are just so darn cute! Friends of ours recently had their second baby girl, so what better way to celebrate the arrival than with knitted goodies?! I knit a tiny baby sweater + hat for baby and a sweater + this doll for the big sister, so she wouldn't feel left out. I got to drop off the gifts last week and hold the day old baby. It was amazing! I honestly don't remember my girl ever being that little, but she was. How quickly it all goes...

My favorite knit out of this bunch was the Wee Ambrosia! Gudrun is a master and now I want to knit myself the adult version. A customer who came into Tolt this past weekend actually bought some Cascade Superwash 128 for a child's version (chest size 27", Ambrosia pattern, not Wee Ambrosia) and I'm excited to see how it turns out. Also, the mama was thrilled with the gifts and that made my heart sing.

Happy knitting!

So cute! I love the buttons on both sweaters. I'm knitting a cardigan for an upcoming baby right now and I'm having the darndest time finding just the right buttons. It's fun to shop for them though :)
