We're having a happy knit-for-yourself KAL over in the YOTH Rav group. The free pattern we voted for was the 198 yds of Heaven shawl. It was such a quick knit in worsted weight that I'm done with mine already! I wanted to share my shawl with ya'll here and hopefully entice you to hop over to our KAL and do a little selfish knitting for yourselves!
Hugs and stitches!

Very nicely done! I started http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/east-meets-west-satchel-pattern and am in love, but definitely NOT a quick knit!
Ve,
It is BEAUTIFUL! Love the color - you did good...
It turned out great...is it the 26th yet. Now that I have my ticket I am dying for the day to come!!
What a great idea. All too often gorgeous handknits get knitted for someone else. Nothing wrong in a bit of selfish knitting occasionally!
Wow, it's beautiful!
So Pretty! It looks perfect.

I was resisting this shawl when I saw your KAL but, wow, yours is so gorgeous I want to cast one on too!
Wow - that looks amazing. What a great color! Nice job!
Wow! It's stunning!
Lovely shawl - it's come up as an option for several of the clubs I've been in but I haven't yet been struck by it until today! Now, just gotta wait and see what my first club yarn of the year is - maybe it'll want to be this!
That's beautiful! I've never tried to knit a lace shawl because I thought it would take me eons to finish, but this sounds encouraging!
So pretty! Not a huge fan of wearing shawls, but I absolutely love knitting them. (Almost as much as knitting socks.) So this would be a great project for "me" fun, and I'd end up with a shawl to gift. I love gifting my hand-knits!
