Leila did a really great job designing this simple yet sophisticated shawl pattern. I love how pretty and feminine it is without being too frilly. I enjoyed knitting this shawl very, very much! The pattern was super easy to read and flowed really nicely. Leila also included a page at the end of the pattern on how to examine and read your knitting, so you can know exactly where you are in case you lose track or don't feel like counting each row while knitting. I think this shawl would be a perfect beginner's pattern for anyone who wants to venture into lace shawl knitting. It's also a great shawl for master lace knitters who want to take a short break from complicated charts and patterns to cleanse their palettes! I see lots of Shaelyn shawls in my future!

P.S. Do you recognize the yarn?! It's from the Hedgehog fibres giveaway last year. It was one of the skeins that was unclaimed and when it came time to re-gift all the unwanted winning skeins, I just had to keep one for myself!

Have a great rest of your Sunday and I'll see you tomorrow with a BIG giveaway that includes enough yarn for a sweater!

It's beautiful! And Jasmine is a natural model - get 'em hooked on hand-knits young!

The shawl is lovely! What I want to know, though, is WHERE did you get those amazing boots Jasmine's wearing, and do they come in adult sizes??? :)

Very pretty! And it looks great on your daughter. Is she going to share it with you?

Oh pretty! I've been thinking about knitting up a Shaelyn in a goldenish color, so it's great to have proof that the color and pattern work well together. Gorgeous!
