yarn along

I've been following Ginny's blog Small Things for a few months now. It was blog I stumbled upon serendipitously and have grown to love with her eloquent posts about family, faith, home, and of course knitting!! She features a fun group blogging event every Wednesday called:

I thought it'd be a good time joining in this week! So, here's what I'm currently knitting (in full disclosure, not monogamously):

yarnalong61312

Pattern: Cloud Illusions
Designer: Boo Knits
Yarn: Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light
Colorway: Antler
My Rav project page here
Modeled by: My favorite Addi Turbo Lace size 6's!

I fell head over heals for this version of the shawl several months back and when I couldn't find the same yarn to knit one, I chose TML in Antler as a fair replacement for my shawl obsession. Not quite the same, but just as lovely, in my opinion.

There's a couple new techniques I've learned with this shawl that I plan on sharing with you when I finish this project (to actually see that they make a difference first), but for now I've found a nice rhythm with this beauty that makes me look forward to every creamy stitch.

Unfortunately, I didn't follow instructions very well and have not included a copy of the book I'm currently reading in my picture above, so let's just pretend it's there hiding under the shawl! I'm finishing up the third book in the Hunger Games. It's slow going… I'm ready for it to be over, in all honesty. It's a wonderful series, don't get me wrong, but my book queue is bigger than my knitting queue if that's possible, and I'm ready to move on. Until next week, Happy Yarn Along, everyone!

Sincerely,

Ve
