Congratulations! Please contact me at yarnonthehouse@gmail.com to collect your prizes.
As we near the day of thanks here in the States, I've been thinking about all that I'm thankful for and it reminds me how lucky I am to have so many wonderful people in my life. There's days when I feel like running away to Hawaii to be a beach bum, just because I've come across YET another dirty sock laying on the floor in the kitchen (which by the way baffles me immensely). How do socks end up in a kitchen?! However, holidays like this during the year pull me back down to earth, and make me thankful to be who I am and have who I have in my life. Not even those pesky dirty socks can run me off!! So, to all the lovely people in my life: family, friends, and you, my knitting friends, thank you for being so kind and fantastic. Love ya!

Wow, that emerald colour is stunning - I'm afraid I drooled a bit on my keyboard... I'm usually in for kettle dyed, but if it's yarn and if the colours are right I'm in for it.
I like kettle dyed best, but I have lots of different types here at home
Hm, usually kettle dyed because it's more versatile, but I do like a good variegation. I'm very equal opportunity when it comes to yarn.
Ili
I like both ^_^
Oh my gosh - my little guy would look great in that vest. I tend to prefer kettle dyed, but the right color combo can look amazing in a varigated yarn.
I'd have to say kettle dyed...just like the way it sounds.
depends on the color really...I think kettle dyed though...
sophia.komninou at gmail.com
The pattern is wonderful and love the yarn- There is a special little guy next door who would look very cute in this!
kettle dyed for me!
Oooh can I volunteer to be the runner up? I loooove that color Brody, droool:) Definitely varigated for me!
Definitely kettle dyed. I think it may be my slightly controlling personality, but variegated can actually stress me out if it pools to much!
Kettle dyed is my choice...yummy!
I love both, but I am always drawn to kettle-dyed more than variegated
I have both - but am know leaning towards kettle dyed. I don't think it is hard to find the "right Pattern" which sometimes is a challenge with variegated.
Thanks for the opportuniy.
I like both, personally, but it really depends on what I'm making with the yarn which I'd rather use.
I'm always attracted to the variegated but if I'm making a big garment for myself I'd do kettle dyed because I feel like it would enhance my...um..."assets" as much :D
kettle dyed for me!
I like kettle dyed the most.
I really like the subtle shading of kettle dyed, it is more versatile than variegated. But you cannot get the variety of color that you get in variegated.
In variegated I like the long color shifts so there is less pooling.
And I really need to knit something for my 4 year old - that pattern would be perfect!
I would have to say kettle dyed. But really all yarn is lovely isn't it?
Kettle dyed is the preference, but really any is wonderful!!
Well, it depends on what I'm making, or more precisely WHO I am making it for. For myself, I tend to prefer kettle-dyed though.
So pretty! I'm a fan of kettle-dyed yarn myself.
I guess it depends on the pattern but I think varigated is what I have worked with more often.
Kettle dyed. Love the colors of the yarns - all three! :-)
Kettle dyed, for sure! Especially if you do it yourself. :-)
Kettle dyed for sure. Variegation has it's place but kettle dyed is my favorite. This vest has been in my queue for ages! :) So cute!
I'd say Kettle dyed though variegated is not bad depending on the color combination. Love the vest any of my 4 nephews and even my daughter would look great in it :D
Ooh! I love the all of it. That variegated is especially pretty.

Wow, that's a hard question to answer. Kettle-dyed is more all-purpose, I think, but you can't beat a really spectacular variegated yarn! There's my non-answer!
How can I choose? I love kettle dyed, but I also love variegated. I just love yarn.
I may pick up and squeeze the variegated, but I generally take home the kettle dyed.
I would have to say kettle dyed.
Kettle dyed, no doubt about it.
kettle-dyed!
Variegated all the way. :)
This is like asking a mom to say which of her kids is her favorite -- I love both kettle dyed and variegated. I much prefer either over a solid, consistent color, no matter what I am making.
All the prize yarns are beautiful, and not just in their mother's eyes!
You know, I've never tried kettle dyed yarn before... would be interesting to try it and then have an opinion about which I like best. I'd probably like both if the colors are lovely!

Kettle-dyed!

*WHISTLES* Those yarns are beautiful! I love all beautiful yarn...so if it's kettle dyed or verigated, im game! =D
Blessings,
Amanda
I don't have a preference, I like both.
The colours looks great.
omg the cinnamon is gorgeous~ i love both kettle dye and variegated~
I love both Kettle-Dyed AND Variegated! Kettle-dyed is more versatile, and I love that patterns can show up better, but Variegated is more fun!
That cinnamon yarn is lovely! I"m all about kettle dyed. Usually don't like variegated -- a lot of the color combos in variegated yarns are a little too in-your-face for me.
Kettle dyed. I have yet to see a yarn kettle dyed that I didn't love.
Both are great, but if I had to choose, it would be the kettle-dyed. I love the subtle variations. Thanks for the giveaway!
Lately I've been hitting the kettle dyed, but I still love variegated yarn too.
Ooh, Kettle dyed, definitely. I love the depth of color.
(bsveum AT gmail DOT com)
kettle dyed, always and forever (not that i haven't dabbled).
love a good kettle dyed yarn.
Kettle dyed - or subtle variegation
wow! i'd love to have a chance to get in on this giveaway. My favourite is the emerald as well, but all the yarns look great.
i'm a big an of kettledyed first, but i love variegated as well. i would love to learn to dye one day!
kettle dyed--I love the subtle variation of color and the possibility of having the vivid and muted colors all play together.
kettle usually, though i do have a soft spot for a few variegateds.
It's been a while since I've used kettle dyed, but I do like it. It's great for showing off lace patterns!
Kettle dyed!
Those colors are beautiful! I'm much more of a fan of kettle dyed than variegated, but they both have their place. I have a much harder time choosing patterns with variegated - you can't tell how it'll knit up!
I'd say, it depends of the pattern. I prefer kettle dyed, but some pattern are gorgeous in variegated !
Beautiful colors here !
Oh my, I can't decide...so both!
I really think kettle-dyed. That said, I buy lots of variegated because I'm seduced by how pretty it looks in the skein, but then those skeins sit in my closet because they often knit up too crazy for wearing. So, kettle dyed!
For me it totally depends on what I plan to use it for. Really I have never met a yarn I wasn't willing to use :D

I love them both, but I've been on a kettle-dyed kick lately :)
Generous giveaway! Thank you both.
i like variegated myself. :)
i like the surprise of seeing how it knits up.
I think kettle dyed. I love tonal variation, that "almost" solid color effect. Not to say variegated can't be pretty; I've seen some that just about knocked my eyes out & made just one word come to mind,"WANT".
adevine@myway.com
Kettle-dyed for me too (I think!) but I wouldn't sniff at variegated! Those yarns are just stunning.
I love both of them... sometimes I love the combinations of the variegated but other times there is something to be said about a good kettle dyed yarn... really depends on the color for me I guess
Kettle dyed! I love variegated, but never know how to use it...
I am in LOVE with Brody, too bad there isn't any for sale on her site :(
Kettle dyed is more my style. I like a rich tone with a little interest.
It depends on my mood, but usually I prefer kettle dyed. If the project is right for the yarn or the yarn for the project or the colors are right though....variegated can be nice.
I'm always drawn to variegated yarn, but I seem to prefer using kettle dyed for most patterns.
Beautiful!! I prefer kettle dyed for most projects. But I like variegated for things like socks and mittens.
Kettle-dyed for lacey or large projects, variegated for smaller projects or those with lots of stockinette.
Kettle dyed, except socks which can be as colorful as possible!
depends on the project...i just love colour, though :)
Silvina (silvinasi at Ravelry)
I'm a kettled dyed girl!
Everyone one of those colors are beautiful. I love the labels- very whimsical. I seem to be drawn to kettle dyed, but it is all love!
I like both, but since I'm more familiar with verigated, I'll pick kettle dyed!
Kettle dyed for sure! Mmmm... I love the subtle changes between colors and how it looks like a watercolor painting knitted up!
I'm a fan of variagated yarn. It keeps me engaged in the project.
This is great- kettle dyed please!!
Both!
what a darling little vest, I like varigated. sparky136 on ralvery
My vote is for kettle dyed! Thanks for hosting the giveaway!
I'm with Robin, vying for the second prize. :) I love the colours in Brody! But the kettle dyed yarn is gorgeous. I truly have little preference, long as it's yarn... samm@ravelry
Kettle dyed all the way baby!
Kettle dyed! Such beautiful results.
Depends on what I'm making...I generally perfer kettle dyed though..
Thanks for the beautiful yarns to be won! I love kettle dyed because it's more versatile - it works with lace, cables, or plain knitting.
Do I have to choose?!?! I like both, depending on the yarn and project.
I think the kettle dyed is nicer. (Although the variegated is lovely too!)
Honestly, I like both! It does depend on the variegation going on though...if it's too crazy, I'd go for kettle-dyed. And of course it depends on what looks best for the pattern. But I like both. :)
I love the cinnamon - and I like kettle dyed the most, but varigated can be fun too!
I usually prefer kettle-dyed, but that variegated is beautiful too!! Love me some cinnamon!
I love both, but kettledyes tend to be more alluring to me. Love that I don't haev to fight pooling and such.
I love the variegated! happy turkey day!
I love the variegated! happy turkey day!
Oh, what a cute vest! I love any yarn with any variegations in it, but I do loooove kettle dyed, most especially when it is mostly tonal.
One color throughout yarn is NOT my favorite!
Thanks for the contest!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Kettle dyed. Maybe someday I'll learn to dye it myself :)
Oh goodness, I could never pick just one. If you held a gun to my head, I'd probably say 'kettle dyed' just because I'd sound cooler right before I died. ;)
I prefer kettle-dyed. I'm not a big fan of the pooling that sometimes happens with variegated yarn. Plus, kettle-dyed sounds delicious!
Kettle dyed though the Brody looks great too.
I really like them both; I guess it mostly depends on the pattern that I intend for it. Overall I guess I would have to pick variegated, just because there are so many different combination possible.
The cinnamon yarn is positively delicious! And the pattern is so adorable!
As for choosing between kettle dyed and variegated, it's a tough call because I just love beautiful yarn. I think the kettle dyed is more versatile, but both are fun!

I am definitely a varigated lover. However, like others, I am definitely an equal opportunity yarn lover! I'm addicted and not afraid to show it!
Kettle dyed is my fave.
Kettle dyed, all the way!
Kettle dyed!
I love the effects of variegated when you're doing something with a fairly plain pattern. But if you're trying something really textured and delicious, kettle dyed just makes it pop!
Kettle dyed!:)
I think I'm more of a kettle dyed person.
Both!
I like both, but I think I like the kettle dyed more.
I love the emerald!!!
Variegated for me! I love how you have more control over the coloring...however, I would totally try kettle-dyed if the color was right :) That Brody is gorgeous! The Julian vest is a must purchase...I just cast-on one of these for my son.
Love that cinnamon, and yes, I'm a kettle dyed fan!
I don't discriminate! I love kettle dyed and variegated :o)
I prefer kettle dyed, but I really like some varigated yarns.
greyowl (ravelry id)
I love both!! It depends on the pattern though- sometimes a larger project (like a sweater) will look better in a kettle-dyed yarn while socks must always be variegated (or striped!). :) Personally, I avoid solid colored yarns- they bore me to tears.
Kettle dyed! (Also, Kettle Corn.)
Love this pattern!! I'd have to say I like both types :)
Definitely kettle dyed. I am not a fan of verigated because you have to have the right pattern for the color changes to work and not be too busy.
I like both, but for most things prefer kettle dyed. I like texture, and kettle dyed shows it off so well!
It depends on the project, but I usually go for kettle dyed!
Generally, I prefer kettle dyed.
eeeek! I love her work I love the surprises that come with kettle dyeing!! And I so want to make that vest for my baby boy!!! Love that colorway Brody, beautiful
Kettle dyed, but I do enjoy a good, subtle variagated. It's the "subtle" that sells me.
i really enjoyed the interview. You both are very funny! The emerald colorway is so pretty. My first love is blue but green is a close second. And yarn is just amazing!!!
I'm not really sure on the question though. I like this yarn, though. Is it kettle dyed or variegated? I would think i like both.
Kettle-dyed for garments, but I do like to have fun with a nice bright variegated for accessories and whatnot; I like to play with it to see what effects I can get.
I like kettle-dyed for the somewhat tonal effect you get. I like to have solid colors but sometimes you get a spot that got less dye and it adds a little character.
It's kettle-dyed for me! :)
I like them both, but I tend to be drawn first to variegates. I love having a mixture of colors, as long as it isn't clown barf (which Hubs picked up once)
kettle dyed, usually, for it's less predictable and more wonderfully surprising nature. but if you're going for predictable (sometimes i need that stability in my life, lol) then variegated! please enter me in the drawing :)
Kettle dyed - it seems a bit more honest, doesn't it?
I love a good kettle dyed yarn, but I never know what will strike my fancy these days. I absolutely love the pattern. I had been contemplating making something similar for my son soon. This would sure be a great way to get started! Both of those colorways would absolutely compliment the pattern. Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I'm PurlVerde on Ravelry.
Kettle dyed. I won't mention the "M" word, but it is my favorite yarn of the kettle dyed type :)
the colors are stunning and I am sure they feel soft and sumptous as well
I like both. they both have their uses.
Kettle dyed! Ok....I use a great deal of variegated. But kettle dyed sounds so similar to kettle corn, who could resist?
How to choose? Ultimately, I think I like the subtle movement of kettle-dyed better than the sometimes frenetic movement of variegated.
I'm not sure what the difference is if I look at it, but I've been knitting from variegated yarns thanks to my good friend Ve ;) who introduced me to it!
Thank you Ve!
i'll take the red skein thank you. i've had a thing for red recently.
i'm not sure what the difference is between kettle dyed and variegated, so can i pick both?
Beautiful yarns. Kettle dyed would be my first choice, though many variegated yarns are in my stash.
I love both but I really love kettle-dyed (maybe because it's harder to come by on a budget!). I have a little man that would look awfully cute in this vest.
As a dyer, I go for variegated because it's more fun. But if I'm working on a project with detailed stitches I like how kettle dyed will show off those stitches without being completely solid.
Jess
I love both. For my own garments, I like the look of KD. It is not so difficult to get the right look. For smaller projects for my kiddos, I love variegated.
I love the density of the kettle dyed.
I guess I'd say kettle dyed--but, well, I can be convinced any way if it's beautiful.
I guess I'd say kettle dyed--but, well, I can be convinced any way if it's beautiful.
kettle dyed, lovelies!
Variegated. At least, that's usually what I would choose. I think it's fun!
oo thats a goood question I would say kettle dyed : )
They're both lovely - - - but the Mountain Meadow Rambouillet skein in colorway Brody really catches my eye! My hands are desiring to squeeze it!
Like always I prefer kettle dyed and then I buy variegated yarn.
I like kettle dyed, but it depends on what is right for the project. Thanks for the wonderful post.
Love the wristers and the beret.
Kettle dyed.
Kettle dyed!
Hi :) Kettle dyed!
I do so love the emerald...but, the cinnamon....they are both spectacular!
I would say kettle dyed because it is so subtle.
Angie
