giveaway #82

The two winners of the last giveaway are:

butnostephanie & Beth

Congratulations! Please contact me at yarnonthehouse@gmail.com to collect your prizes.

Hey, if you didn't win remember that Brenda is still offering her 25% off discount to the YOTH followers for her pattern collection available on Ravelry: enter the discount code YOTH25 during checkout from now until March 25th, 2012.

Recently one of my good friends, Linsay, kicked off her design line Little Lippy Ewe by releasing a truly adorable hat appropriately named: Linsay Rocks.

linsayrockshat

I had the opportunity to test knit this cute hat; unfortunately, I don't have a FO picture to show off (bad choice in colors - my fault). I did however knit the hat in an adult size and do still plan on wearing it even if you can't see my stripes very well!

The hat pattern ranges in size from Infant to Large Adult and includes both a beanie and a slouchy version. I knit an adult slouchy if you were wondering (loving the slouchy hats right now)! Not to mention that the original darling pink, black and white version was knit up in the fabulous Dancing Dog Dyeworks self striping Waltz Worsted yarn in a color named… guess… Linsay Rocks! Too cute! So, not only can you knit this baby up using a great self striping yarn, you also get directions to just use two or more separate colors. The great patterning in the hat is achieved with simple slip stitches and is so eye catching if you choose good contrasting colors, ahem! This pattern is cholked full of variety and instruction. What else could you ask for in a hat pattern?!

Linsay has since released two more patterns: Be Aware Hat and Taralyn. My friend, you are on a roll! Keep up the fantastic design work.

Check out what Little Lippy Ewe & Dancing Dog Dyeworks has put together for you this giveaway:

linsayrocks

One Grand Prize Winner has the opportunity to win a fun Linsay Rocks skein from Dancing Dog Dyeworks, a DDD canvas project bag and their very own PDF copy of the Linsay Rocks hat pattern. One Runner Up Winner will also receive a DDD project bag and PDF pattern. How fun!

You can watch for updates and other Dancing Dog Dyeworks news in the Dancing Dog Dyeworks Ravelry page.

I would like you to do the following if you would like to be entered into this week's giveaway:

1. Read over the rules if you have not done so already.

2. Leave a comment on this blog post by the end of Sunday, 3/25/12. What three color combo would you use to knit up a Linsay Rocks of your very own?

I'll randomly pick the winners in 2 weeks and post the results along with the new giveaway, so be sure to check back. Good luck everyone.

Sincerely,

Ve

I love the DDD self striping yarns. I have not had an opportunity to knit with them yet and would love the chance to win this giveaway. Hats are my favorite thing to make so this is perfect.
My favorite colorway is Sophia

Nice pattern! I'd knit it in Lucky Leprechaun as I love greens.

I love Waltz, that's pictured. I can't resist hot pink!

Ely said...

If I was using a multicolour DDD, it would have to be Robots, just because robots are awesome. Making a triple combo myself, I'd use raspberry, lilacs and ice pink for a little princess and swap the ice pink with chili verde for myself.

I had a terribly hard time deciding!
I love all the colors, but finally narrowed it down to this color combo:

I'd alternate stripes of Monster between alternating stripes of Purple & Pink.

Love it!

My 3 colors would be Daisy, New Lime, and Tangy Orange.

Renee Anne said...

I suppose it would depend on who the hat would be for. If it were going to be my hat: greens, purples, and black or white. If it's for Little Man: bright yellow, baby blue, and probably white.

I'm weird like that.

zed said...

I'd make a neutral tri-color with a berry "pop": Waltz worsted in chocolate brown, grey, and perfectly purple.

Meg said...

The color pictured would go just perfectly with my granddaughter's new jacket;-)
