Kristin, the designer, put together this collection of small to large accessories that require only upto a few skeins of yarn at most. I love that concept - especially for luxury yarns, because the projects won't break the bank, if you know what I mean!
Now, I'm not a crocheter myself, so I can't vouch for the crochet patterns in this collection (outside of me saying that I think they all look very pretty), but I can tell you that there are several knitting patterns in here that I would and hope to knit very soon. Let me show you some of my favorites...
This shawl, Apple Blossom Knit Shawl, is breathtaking! I don't seem to be the only one who thinks so, because it is the cover page to this whole collection. It's a must knit! It uses two skeins of BBR's Tibetan Dream and a skein of the Bijou Bliss for the bold contrast stripes. Hmmmmm... I think I wanna knit mine outta the Sage and Sky colorways with stripes of Teal like the original, or maybe the Ruby!
I'd have to say that this cowl, Aster Tiered Knit Cowl, is my second favorite. The ruffles of leaves is so neat! I've never seen that before. So, I need 2 hanks of Lhasa Wilderness for this one... definitely the Steel colorway. Wait, NO! The Goldenrod or Hunter colors would work really well with the leaf theme.
Diggin' the Gladiolus XOXO Hugs & Kisses Knit Hat & Wristlets too! Nice knit hat for the hubby!
Oh, and this sweet Lily of the Incas Knit Ribbed Shawlette! So, so pretty!
This collection comes in digital format for $9.95 on Ravelry, which I think is a steal for that many patterns! Or, you can order a printed version of the booklet off of BBR's site for $12.95. Either way you are spending less than a buck per pattern. Not bad, my friends! Honestly, I think the Apple Blossom pattern alone is worth the cost of admission, just sayin'.
The lovely folks over at Bijou Basin have tossed in a free e-book copy of the Complements Collection by Kristin Omdahl for one lucky follower to win! Yay! An extra little treat for the YOTH followers in between the regularly scheduled show! Leave a comment, any (one) comment below and I'll pick a winner randomly on Sunday, 5/6/12 and announce with the Monday giveaway. Enjoy!

Oh! An extra treat! I sometimes am quite sad that I dislike crochet as much as I do when I see what wonderful patterns are out there(though, admittedly, they're always the SUPER advanced ones!).
nice those crochet patterns look amazing as do the knitting ones
I feel like I say this all the time, but "Pretty!"
Beautiful patterns!
Oh! I haven't had a chance to listen to Marly's podcast this week- thanks for the heads up on this "tour!"
And I hope I win!
It's always great to have patterns design specially for luxury yarns! You know your beautiful yarn will be shown off to it's best then.
Who would not want to win this gorgeous ebook.
I love the shawls in that; going to have to try to learn more than basic crochet I think.
Love the patterns in the group. Especially the shawls!
Love the ebook! Thanks for the great give-away.
OOoooOOO I want to try the crochet ones and give the knitting one to my Mom!
I agree, the Apple Blossom Shawl is gorgeous!
I have two skeins of Buffalo Moon that I think would look great in the Gladiolus hat and wristlets!
P.S. Got my yarn and project bag; thanks so much!
Count me in! The patterns are lovely and would love to win.
These are some really lovely patterns!
So lovely! And one can never have too many patterns, after all.
So fun! Thank you for this chance!
Truly beautiful patterns and as someone who does both knit and crochet a double treat.
Beautiful patterns and as someone who both knits and crochets a double treat.
You're so good to us. :)
Oh wow, that cowl is really something! I crochet too, although not as much as I knit, so double yay!
Those indeed are some cute patterns! I love the hat/mitt set!
This is a really nice giveaway for international readers like me :)
The designs shown are great. Makes one very curious about the balance of the projects.
Even though I'm a knitter, I like that they showed some love for knitters and crocheters alike in this collection.
Thanks for the chance to win! This books looks amazing and I love the work that Kristin does! Thanks for sharing with us!
I love that last shawl. Some great designs!
That's a lot of nice patterns!
Lovely patterns. I've not tried their yarn before but I'd like to! :)
I would love to win! Thanks!
I like the Tulip Tiered Cowl. I switched from crochet to knitting several years ago, due to hand pain. I wanted a crochet hem facing for a dress I knit recently, and was elated to discover I can crochet without paing again, if only for brief periods, and this would be a great first pattern to celebrate! Thanks for the giveaway.
Beautiful patterns. I'm not especially drawn to shawls generally speaking, but the Lily of the Incas shawlette is sublime.
I always wonder if/how shawlettes can be enlarged, since I generally need more warmth than they cover. These are really lovely patterns.
Such a gorgeous collection! And I'm just learning how to crochet, so having both types of patterns would be fabulous!
i love her designs, these are just a bonus!
What a beautiful book!
looks like a great book. Love the cowl!
I was able to fondle Bijou Basin Ranch yarns in person at the Michigan Fiber Arts Festival last year and they are sooooo yummy. I love that there are an (almost) equal mix of knit and crochet patterns in the book.
Beautiful! I have some of their yarn and it is just beautiful! Thanks for the fun
I love the Lily of the Inca's shawlette - what an interesting edge. There are great patterns in this collection.
Now those are some nice crochet patterns!
I love the Lily of the Inca's shawlette - lovely, lovely! Thanks for the chance! Stephanie (indigodogmt on Ravelry)

Spiffy. Looks like fun.
As I both knit and crochet, I am excited about this treat giveaway! I the patterns are wonderful! ^_^
These are such pretty patterns!
I was lucky enough to visit Bijou Basin Ranch last summer; the yaks are delightful. Working with their yarn is too!
Nice patterns! Maybe now I have to learn crochet? I've been thinking about it for a while.
