"Blues and charcoal are my favorite color combos so Kit #4. Such a lovely pattern and beautiful yarn."

Congratulations! Please contact me at yarnonthehouse@gmail.com to collect your prizes.

I'm so excited to bring you this next giveaway! Not only is it #100!! But, I've collaborated this time with a designer that I've admired and followed for years now to bring you a fun 12 Days of Knitting giveaway. There's more prizes, more winners, and a dozen fiber and knitting filled blog posts to come!

Meet Grace Akhrem:

Grace

Isn't she so cute as a knitting needle?!

Grace is a super talented knitwear designer! She has a whopping 110 designs published of which some are crochet patterns as well. I really love Grace's charming style! She's best known for her beautiful Robin Hood and Peace Street Hat. I love both of these patterns, and I actually originally purchased the IK's Holiday Gifts 2011, for the Peace Street Hat pattern alone! Here are some of my other favorites: Crashing Waves (I'm sure I have a skein or hundred of lace weight sitting around for this one), Janna's Tunic (so very chic), Slouchy Teanie (I actually think my hubby would like this one), Beekeeper's Cowl (not only a freebie, but wouldn't this be a perfect last minute knit for the holidays?), Buttoned Lace Cowl (this is the original pattern that had me following Grace), and Bougainvillea Lace Shrug (I HAVE to knit this!). I could keep going, but you get the idea... I pretty much like everything she releases.

Us ladies, have put together a really fun holiday themed giveaway for you this time around. Over the next 12 days, I will do a blog post everyday featuring a Grace Akhrem pattern followed the next day by a matching yarn prize for the previous day's pattern selection. At the end of the 12 days, I will randomly choose 7 winners who will each receive a PDF pattern copy from one of the shared patterns and the yarn prize that matches! How fun is that?! The rules stay the same and all you have to do to be entered to win, is leave a comment on THIS blog post following the instructions at the bottom. Here's a little sampling of the pattern yumminess!

Gracecollage

And, here's a little taster of the fibery goodness!

GA100allyarn

Can you feel all the holiday love we are sending your way?! Grace has also been kind enough to put together a coupon code for all the followers. The discount is 20% off the 6 patterns we are featuring over the next 12 days: Olana Shawl, Walt's Tangled Cables, Bumble Stripes, Seaweed Scarf, Random Stripes, & Rippling Lace. Use the following coupon code during checkout on Ravelry: YOTHSALE!, it is good through the end of the day on Sunday, January 6th, 2013.

I would like you to do the following if you would like to be entered into this week's giveaway:

1. Read over the rules if you have not done so already.

2. Leave a comment on this blog post by the end of Sunday, 12/30/12. In the spirit of our Twelve Days of Knitting, what is on your knitting related wish list this year?

Grace says, "I have to tell you I don't have a knitting wishlist at all... I'm trying to get rid of stuff :) Maybe just a "woolly winder" for my wheel and a Coco Knits blocking mat set :) - That might be it.... oh and of course a second set of hands, so I can knit more :)"

And, here's mine: I really want one of these and a set of these would be awesome! And, since we're putting in our requests, I would like a second pair of hands as well! ;)

I'll randomly pick the winners in 2 weeks and post the results along with the new giveaway, so be sure to check back. Good luck everyone.

Sincerely,

Ve

I am wishing for more will power to do some serious stash busting in 2013. Also, my swift and winder could use an upgrade.

The item that is on my wishlist~ and has been for quite some time~ is a nice set of blocking mats. I really, really need the set from Knit Picks... I guess that makes it a need-list rather than a wishlist, doesn't it? ;)

Bloups said...

I really want to do an Obsidian this year. And maybe a dress.
Most of all, I want to purge my rav'queue from all the patterns older than 2010, but that is clearly an unreal goal !

Melissa @ Miso Crafty Knits said...

My knitting wish list consists of: a new ball winder, as mine has been over used and is now producing flat and unruly pancakes of yarn; a swift that doesn't need to be jimmied with bits of paper towel to keep it open (again, from over use); the ability to stop buying only 1 skein of yarn as these solo skeins are accumulating way too fast and I don't knit enough socks/shawls/1 skein projects to justify them; and to knit up all the bulky yarn that's currently in the stash...as they are taking up precious room for the sweater quantities!

karen alho said...

I'd like more Signature needles, any size, any shape and some alpaca yarn for a big, cozy sweater!

Katie said...

I wish for more time to knit everything I have on my list and the perfect yarn to go with each pattern!

Santa brought me an Addi King knitting machine so I'm hoping to knock out a lot more Chemo Caps this year. That should help me stash bust some.

Dianna said...

On my knitting wish list for this year is time to finish my grandson's Wallaby and if someone is looking to give me a gift I would like a set of blocking mats.

I also am wishing I could magically separate my "stash" into keepers and get-rid-of skeins. I am trying to pare down to a more manageable stash - not easy!

Rachel said...

I wish I could knit all my stash up so I can buy the yarn I want for each pattern I decide to knit without feeling guilty about the collection lying under my bed!

My knitting wish this year is to try some new (to me) yarns. Yay for more knitting.!

My wish list is so long - I'm either really greedy or indecisive, you decide.
I'd love to have a yarn bowl, some silky soft yarns to make things for me, some beautiful but washable yarns to make things for my daughters, some techniques classes to improve my skills- I could go on but even I think I'm greedy now!

All I want is a skein of Bugga! I've never laid hands on it, but I sure would like to remedy that...

Allready got two books, and a new set of needles. For the new year I hope to get a set of bigger needles, knit enough from my stash to warrant new interesting additions. And not least plenty of knitting time, which can be difficult with a little active boy in the house.
