knitterly finds

It's Wednesday and I have a new knitterly finds post for you today, but let's just temporarily rename it sewingly finds for this week! I'm still over the moon about my new sewing machine and there hasn't been much knitting since Thursday last week when I picked up my new toy. I feel a little like this on the inside, but don't worry, it'll blow over and I'll be back to knitting in no time!

My first sewing project was this adorable little newborn kimono.

And, with all the cute free tutorials on Purl Bee how could I resist sewing these super adorbs baby bubble butt pants (that's my name for them!). I made two pairs and now I'm thinking I may need a pair!

There's a cute story that goes along with me getting my new sewing machine, maybe I'll tell it one day, but just know that it's used, I found it on Craigslist, and purchased it from a sweet lady that is retired and sews quilts in her free time. I had this feeling last week that this was the week I was getting my sewing machine, so early in the week I preemptively purchased a sewing pattern I'd been eyeing for awhile (that became my 4th project, an XS for J).

I'd really like to make one of these really simple kimonos for moi.

This skirt diy would make a great little wrap to throw over my one piece swimsuit in Hawaii!

Found these on Pinterest and thought they'd be handy. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I'm going to be placing a fabric order from this great online shop soon.

My next venture in crafting is going to be fabric printing! Here's my started pin board. Just for fun!

And, this post wouldn't be complete without a little knitting inspiration... here's my last week's faved Rav patterns: crushing on this big time, this is so pretty but do I really need another fingering weight sweater UFO in my stash?! Stephannie has such a classic style to her designs that I love. And, I'm thinking that a fingering weight hat is probably the better way to go for me.

Until next week, have a good one!

I have never seen those sewing clips before but they look like a great product. If you buy them and use them, I would love to hear more. As for the sewing, great job!
