The lucky winner of the SandraSingh.com On The Hudson giveaway is:

Anonymous who said...
"Blues and charcoal are my favorite color combos so Kit #4. Such a lovely pattern and beautiful yarn."

Congratulations! Please contact me at yarnonthehouse@gmail.com to collect your prizes.

I'm so excited to bring you this next giveaway! Not only is it #100!! But, I've collaborated this time with a designer that I've admired and followed for years now to bring you a fun 12 Days of Knitting giveaway. There's more prizes, more winners, and a dozen fiber and knitting filled blog posts to come!

Meet Grace Akhrem:

Grace

Isn't she so cute as a knitting needle?!

Grace is a super talented knitwear designer! She has a whopping 110 designs published of which some are crochet patterns as well. I really love Grace's charming style! She's best known for her beautiful Robin Hood and Peace Street Hat. I love both of these patterns, and I actually originally purchased the IK's Holiday Gifts 2011, for the Peace Street Hat pattern alone! Here are some of my other favorites: Crashing Waves (I'm sure I have a skein or hundred of lace weight sitting around for this one), Janna's Tunic (so very chic), Slouchy Teanie (I actually think my hubby would like this one), Beekeeper's Cowl (not only a freebie, but wouldn't this be a perfect last minute knit for the holidays?), Buttoned Lace Cowl (this is the original pattern that had me following Grace), and Bougainvillea Lace Shrug (I HAVE to knit this!). I could keep going, but you get the idea... I pretty much like everything she releases.

Us ladies, have put together a really fun holiday themed giveaway for you this time around. Over the next 12 days, I will do a blog post everyday featuring a Grace Akhrem pattern followed the next day by a matching yarn prize for the previous day's pattern selection. At the end of the 12 days, I will randomly choose 7 winners who will each receive a PDF pattern copy from one of the shared patterns and the yarn prize that matches! How fun is that?! The rules stay the same and all you have to do to be entered to win, is leave a comment on THIS blog post following the instructions at the bottom. Here's a little sampling of the pattern yumminess!

Gracecollage

And, here's a little taster of the fibery goodness!

GA100allyarn

Can you feel all the holiday love we are sending your way?! Grace has also been kind enough to put together a coupon code for all the followers. The discount is 20% off the 6 patterns we are featuring over the next 12 days: Olana Shawl, Walt's Tangled Cables, Bumble Stripes, Seaweed Scarf, Random Stripes, & Rippling Lace. Use the following coupon code during checkout on Ravelry: YOTHSALE!, it is good through the end of the day on Sunday, January 6th, 2013.

I would like you to do the following if you would like to be entered into this week's giveaway:

1. Read over the rules if you have not done so already.

2. Leave a comment on this blog post by the end of Sunday, 12/30/12. In the spirit of our Twelve Days of Knitting, what is on your knitting related wish list this year?

Grace says, "I have to tell you I don't have a knitting wishlist at all... I'm trying to get rid of stuff :) Maybe just a "woolly winder" for my wheel and a Coco Knits blocking mat set :) - That might be it.... oh and of course a second set of hands, so I can knit more :)"

And, here's mine: I really want one of these and a set of these would be awesome! And, since we're putting in our requests, I would like a second pair of hands as well! ;)

I'll randomly pick the winners in 2 weeks and post the results along with the new giveaway, so be sure to check back. Good luck everyone.

Sincerely,

Ve

I'd like one of those ceramic cups with the spiral that yarn comes out of. Especially if it looked like a sheep.

Turtle said...

i have found a wrap kit put together by Churchmouse i would love to knit up. But really dreaming.. the knitters loom! Doubt to find either under the tree, lol.

Michelle said...

This is more of "dream list" than a "wish list":
Turned wood yarn bowl
Blocking board or matts
KA Interchangeable circulars
A tabletop loom

Holly said...

I need to do some stash-busting next year, so I guess I'm mostly hoping for inspiration!

Rachelle said...

A ceramic yarn bowl
a couple more blocking mats
Chiao Goo interchangeables
A lot more time!

Geraldine said...

Hmmm...besides yarn...a yarn swift! And some Signature Needle Arts needles! That's all!

Laura R. said...

I would love some new patterns and ideas and of course some new yarn to go with it:)

Renee Anne said...

I think I'd like to take part in a fiber club this year. I don't think it's going to happen but I can dream, right?

Liz said...

I need a new bottle of Soak! And more time to knit everything in my queue!

sacha said...

I want to use up some stash yarn too this year- so far I'm off to a good start. I figure once I use up some of my randoms, I can finally pop for the best yarn for a vest I want to make.

Emily said...

A loom would be so much fun. But really, enough time to knit through my queue would be the greatest present of all!

Sheila said...

If we're going total fantasy, I want the Lantern Moon rosewood interchangeable needle set and a year's membership in the Blue Moon Rockin Sock Club.

If we've being a little more realistic, I'll take a copy of the Principles of Knitting, a set of blocking mats, or a set of the Inspinknity premium blocking wires. I have the ultra fine and love them!

I'll be perfectly happy if I don't get any more knitting gifts tho because I just got a lovely blue skein of Malabrigo alpaca/silk lace in a swap package a couple of days ago.

UmmRania said...

Yarn, Yarn, and yarn! Thats about it, maybe time to knit with it.

Sylvie said...

I'm most in need of more time for knitting and spinning. I'd also love a skein winder, the ChiaoGoo red interchangeable needles, and more stitch markers.

Hope this didn't double post - I'm having some browser issues.

florapie said...

Dream world? A loom and an extra room to put it in, or a Romi's Lace club membership with the time to knit it all up!

Realistic? I'd love to get some Knitters Pride Carbonz, to see if they're all that.

katherinelynn_04 said...

Hmmmmm...more yarn? That's always welcome! I've had my eye on one of those chart minder binders. I do a lot of colorwork and cables, and they would help when traveling with them.

Jessica Powers said...

An actual knitting room/nook all of my own. I've got a chest in the living room, a bookshelf in the hall, stash bins in my closet...it'd be splendid to have a window seat, some wall space for inspiration, and a built in bookcase/storage unit for it all.

But since that would require lots of room, I'd just like more handdyed worsted weight.

Charlotte said...

I think I need a yarn bowl ... I'd also put a namaste bag to good use ;-)

Kerry said...

Mine would be some circulars that don't kink when I'm doing magic loop

Tas said...

Point me to where you can pick up that second pair of hands if you will...do they also sell more hours in the day?

A blocking board is probably the main thing on my wish list. Poking pins into towels on the back outdoor table is wearing thin.

Melody said...

I would like more needles and different fibers of yarn.

Kayla said...

I dream about Kniter's pride neddles set

Unknown said...

Hmmm.. as many folks stated above, YARN!

But in addition to that I would love to have more time to knit. Between college and my job its a rather hard to find a moment (or maybe a couple moments) in which I can sit down and bust out a project.

Unknown said...

The thing I want most is yarn, and more space to store it in!

Lizzi said...

I would love a spinning wheel. but then, i would also love a puppy and I don't have the time for either. so I will just ask for world peace and clean water for all!

My knitting wish list...is an income that makes me feel like I can fulfill my own knitting wishes again in the coming year!

My knitting wishlist consists of two things at the moment:

enough beautiful lace yarn to make an Evenstar shawl

and sock blockers!!

liz h said...

I would like a spindle, some fibre and someone to teach me how to spin.

Failing that, enough time to knit all the projects I have planned!

Hehe - I just want more time to knit! Thanks as always for the giveaway :)

Gynx said...

I have a couple reference books on my list, and of course yarn/fiber!

Robin said...

I'd really love a set of blocking wires. Sometimes, pins just aren't enough.

Christine Lima said...

I asked for a case/organizer for my interchangeable circulars. I never bought a set together so I didn't get a cute little case - I've been buying a few tips at a time and cords here and there when I needed them and now they're starting to get a little disorganized!

Mim said...

I would love, love a pair of signature circulars needles. Blocking wires, books to add to my knitting library and of course more yarn.

jennybookworm said...

I would like some blocking tools - mat(s), wires, pins -- and um, enough room in my house to block those projects!! More yarn is always nice but I don't really "need" any! I would love to have a sweater's worth of something really special to knit with - a skein here or there I can manage but a whole sweater hurts the bank account!

Olivia said...

I've been dying to try an interchangeable set...and of course, yarn is on my list. (Speaking of, my mom wants me to knit a cowl and she even mentioned worsted weight in our conversation yesterday...she's trying to speak my language!)

LynnIL said...

I am wishing for a set on interchangeable needles. I almost never have the needle that I need to start a project. I am also looking for a blocking board or mat.

kjramstack said...

I would love some hand carders. I learned how to spin last winter and now I would like to dive a little deeper into the craft: dying my own wool and creating custom color blends.

Chelsea W said...

What a generous giveaway! I dream about a year of sock yarn club (there are so many that would be great!) and addi-clicks interchangeable lace tips.

Sparkee Spud said...

This year's knitting wish list is more of a spinning wish list! Fiber! Bobbins and a cup holder!

Kassia said...

I love the idea of a second set of hands... as well as being able to stretch the space-time continuum in order to have more knitting time!! Really, though, I'd love a yarn bowl.... and maybe blocking supplies. :)

I'm dreaming of a swift and a ball winder!

I'm a terrible person to shop for when it comes to Christmas as I usually buy myself gifts and wrap them and put them under the tree! This year I desperately wanted more mixed fiber yarns including the discontinued Claudia hand painted worsted 55 (which is the best!) and some madelinetosh pashmina. I love yarn with silk or cashmere.

Angela said...

The ability to knit and read at the same time! And cashmere. :)

Heather J said...

I would love to have spinning wheel and the chaigoo interchangables not sure which set probably the twist. O and please more yarn.

More time for all the knitting!

Megan said...

More bobbins for my Ladybug spinning wheel...
Signature circular needles in a few sizes...
More time to spin and knit...
Less dishes and laundry...

As I get older there is not so much I want or need.
So my X-mas wish would be to have my daughter come for a visit and teach me to spin.

Marilyn a.k.a. Merry said...

I want a new spinning wheel. Mine is crappy and a bear to spin on so I'll be looking to buy one in the new year. Yay!

Anonymous said...

LOL I am on a yarn diet, my stash is out of control, but I have a friends spinning wheel, that I'm trying to fix so I can learn to spin...

A lovely pair of US5 signature 14" stiletto teardrop knitting needles. That would be nice.

ikkinlala said...

- Blocking mat and wires.
- Nice dpns.
- Enough nice fingering weight yarn for a sweater.

Rosemary said...

Do I see sweet georgia, Malabrigo, AND Shibui in that pile? My goodness ... I've decided that all of those are on my wishlist. :)

I would love a ceramic yarn bowl for Christmas, and more knitting books. I've had a hankering for Ysolda Teague's books lately ...

Jacey said...

Oh, I dream of a ball winder and a pair of signature needles...Please Santa...

Nadine Knits said...

I would like one of those wooden yarn bowls like Hansen crafts sells at the Fiber fairs. For all of you requesting blocking boards, Home Depot has styrofoam insulation boards that are 2 x 4, plain on one side and marked with guidelines on the other. They are very inexpensive. I have used mine for at least 3 years right now and they still have plenty of life in them. Save the big bucks for yarn.

Laura said...

Ball winder! Please please!

Sabrina said...

Aside from yarn, yarn, and more yarn...I would like to have a swift and ball winder.

ChrisC said...

My knitting wish list includes a swift and ball winder and lace blocking wires. I'm pretty sure my boyfriend has gotten the hint about the former, as I've been complaining to him about hand-winding yarn a lot lately!

Gwenn said...

My major wish for this year is either a kick wheel or a full size spinning wheel!

Alice said...

Hmm, I'd really like a Romi shawl pin. And a set of Signature needles. A girl can dream!

Enid said...

I put a few Signature circular needles on my list this year. I'd also like one of those portable OttLites so I can pull it out when I need a clear look at something. A friend pulled hers out at knitting last night and made me realize how much I need it.

PenCraft said...

What I would really like is a better way to store my yarn and kits. Right now, it's in a loft that I have to climb up a ladder to get to. I would prefer an entire room of yarny loveliness.

Desiree said...

My wish list:
Ceramic yarn bowl
Yarn (I do not have a large stash)
yarn swift and ball winder
and stuff so I can start spinning my own yarn.
Thanks for the giveaway!

Alex said...

Oh I loooove Grace's aesthetic, her stuff is so gorgeous and always such great color combos!

My knitting wishlist mostly contains "time" and "new, unsullied wrists"...

becca said...

I want to finish the 4 or 5 sweaters I have the yarn for... but we'll see with grad school. :)

glongley said...

I would love it if all my friends and family have a wonderful Christmas this year. I don't need anything but yarn to keep me going with my knitting fun.

Jade said...

My wish list would be a handmade nostepinne, and yarn bowl, and maybe some extra time - or even the power to stop time, just so that I could get more knitting in :)

InJuneau said...

What I need most is more time, but since that seems unlikely, I'd love a wood yarn bowl (saw some lovely ones on Etsy and didn't pounce quickly enough...). I don't really need much else; I have needles and yarns galore.

Kitten With a Whiplash said...

I'd love a compact spinning wheel, something that would fit in my already overcrowded apartment. My few attempts at spindle spinning have not been overly successful, but that doesn't deter me from wanting to move on to a wheel. Thanks for another fabulous contest, and for all great interviews and information you always bring us.

sparky136 said...

I want a lovely new shawl pin for the shawls I been knitting lately.

amchart said...

interchangeable needles for sure

Jessica Snell said...

A membership in a sock yarn club would be AWESOME, but, more realistically, a skein or two of pretty sock yarn under the tree would be just dandy. :)

Anonymous said...

A yarn club membership, one of those elegant, beautiful wooden swifts and yarn winders one sees in yarn stores, a complete set of signature circs in 24" length, trips to sock summit and stitches and the NY event, classes. The list goes on - how much time do we have?! What I'd like most is more talented hands and more time to knit.
Thanks for the contest.

So glad I found your blog today, Veronika. Perfect timing! I'm asking Santa for knitting magazines and books mostly, and Santa know exactly where to find my Amazon wish list! Then there are all those cute things on Etsy: markers, jewelry, notecards, wineglasses....

ACraftyKnitter said...

I really want some of those square needles, but I don't think that's going to happen. There is a package under the tree that feels suspiciously like yarn, though....

Amanda Vondrasek said...

On my wishlist is lots of new yarns(Noro and such), interchangable needle sets, wool wash, and spinning lessons :) hehehe

Emily said...

I don't have a very long wish list, although more time to knit would be nice! Mostly, what I really want it to learn magic loop, so I think I will make that a resolution for 2013.

My wish list includes some blocking tiles and pins - and maybe some sock/fingering yarn.

I would love a wheel...but it won't happen this year. Any kind of fiber or yarn would be fantastic. A circular/spiral glass shawl pin from Moving Mud would be awesome. :)

Erin said...

I requested some extra bobbins for my spinning wheel and a spot in The Shepherd and the Shearer over at fiberfarm.com.

Unknown said...

This multi-tasking Mom would love another (yes, another) set of interchangeable circular needles. I love coming home from work each day and 'shopping' for a project work on instead of having only one or two projects going at a time.

butnostephanie said...

The top of my wish list this year: I would love for my hubby to learn how to sew in all the ends on my Finished Objects (inprogress) pile. That would be amazing. hear that honey?

Shannon said...

A yarn swift would be lovely, always yarn, a Della Q yarn bag, etc.

Nicole said...

My knitting wish list is way too long! But the most expensive item is a spinning wheel, a Kromski Fantasia. I would also really love a set of blocking wires, and always, always yarn. :)

Lindr said...

Time. Yarn is always fun, and needles are great to get, and patterns are just a huge load of potential. But, really, I have some beautiful things in my stash that are begging to become projects if only I had the time to do it. So if someone could manage to make the cooking and cleaning and 40 hour work week go away for me, that would be great. Thanks.

Bonnie said...

Yarn, yarn and more yarn. I'd love more yarn bags, and blocking boards would be lovely. I'd love anything to do with knitting. THanks for the great giveaway.

TopHat said...

My wish list is for time! I'm never going to knit all these things without time. Or a babysitter- someone take my kids so I can knit!

SarahVV said...

What I'm wishing for this year is mostly patterns! I have a whole closet full of gorgeous yarn that I'm really excited about, so I've been picking out patterns to buy as budget allows :) (SarahVV on Rav)

Tamara said...

Addi Clicks with the pointy tips would be nice. Or the Signature interchangeables. Definitely more interchangeable needles. A blocking board would be nice, too. Unfortunately, no one (including me!) is going to spend that kind of money for a present. But I can dream, right?

Anonymous said...

I would love a swift and ball winder, and some Tanis Fiber Arts purple label cashmere sock yarn.. I love her colors, but I have yet to ever splurge on the yarn. To be honest, I'd like to somehow magically own all the sock yarn.

Unknown said...

More interchangeables, a blocking mat and some wool wash. Trying not to add anymore yarn to my stash since I´m trying to knit it all down.

Knittingdancer on Ravelry said...

I would like a double interchangable needle case by DellaQ to hold my harmonies and options. I would also like a set of the Red ChiaGoo interchangable needles to knit more lace. I would love any yarn goodies.

slmiller8 said...

I don't have a yarny wishlist, but if I did, it would be to always have plenty of knitting needles so I always have the right size, length, etc needle available for every project.

Sgbooth88 said...

Lets see on my knitting wishlist right now, well I guess it is only somewhat knitting related, but I would love to have a spinning wheel so I can spin some more yarn to knit with. It takes me forever to spin on my spindle, mainly because if my daughter sees me doing it she likes to run up and try to grab the spindle, so all my spinning I have to do park and draft to keep accidents from happening... again lol.

Maxine S said...

I'd love the Artemist shawl pattern and some lovely wool to make it in. Thanks for the fun giveaway :)

I know it's not something that I'll get for a while, but I would LOVE a swift. It would just make life so much easier!

My Christmas is typical of any knitter. I want yarn.

To be specific Two to four cordinating skeins of Tosh Merino Light, two cordinating skeins of some squishy dk yarn in white and brown, 2 undyed skeins of Unique Sheep Eos yarn or something similiar, 875 yards of some Knitpicks Chroma worsted, and lots and lots of sock yarn in any color brand etc that I can get my hands on. I also would love a yarn bowl, more project bags, and some smaller size circular needles (00, 0, 1, and maybe a longer cabled 2).

Some new blocking mats - mine are those foam blocks for kids, with the number cutouts - they keep falling out and then my knitting sags!

I would love more time and ideas of what to make with yarn I already have. However, I'd like to try some of the Art Yarns.

Time to knit for myself. I'm always knitting for other people and would love some selfish knitting time. And yarn. Always yarn.

Ooh, if I could have anything at all, my wishlist would have one of those knitting bags you featured a couple of months ago, except I can't find the link anymore. The one with mermaids, especially.

Congrats on the 100th giveaway!

I would like a set of signature needles!

Oooh. I'd love more ChiaGoo circulars, and other good needles. That's what I'm mostly short on.

Thank you so much for a great giveaway! My items I would love to have/receive would be a Swift and ball winder! I don't have either and when I watch my daughter use hers, it sure would make my knitting experience a little nicer from the start.

I'm dreaming of a new knitting bag from Jordana Paige! Yep, I'm dreaming alright. I think stash busting is my goal for the next year.

Andrea said...

There are still so many things that I need, first a swift and ball winder and next a set (or five) of interchangeable needles. A scale, blocking boards and wires, need I go on? ^_^'

What an awesome series of posts to look forward to! I'm hoping for sock blockers and a set of short dpns for socks.

I would like to knit more from my stash, but would love to get more knitting bags, project bags, patterns, notions and books!
And I absolutely ADORE the Seaweed Scarf!

Kristen said...

I'd like a yarn bowl and a blocking lesson from someone who is really good at it! I'm not so good and I'm impatient so blocking is hard for me.

I thought I had already commented, but I don't think it's showing up. I apologize if I'm double-posting. My wish list consists of a yarn bowl, interchangeable needles, and some project bags. I definitely don't need more yarn... but I will take it if it's offered :) hannahr on Ravelry

I like the idea of someone cleaning so I'd have more time to knit, but I doubt that'll happen. Also on the impossible wish list - a swift and a nice set of interchangable needles.

Thanks for the chance!
