maui

We've arrived! Oh my goodness, is it beautiful here. Hawaii is one of my most favorite places on earth. It could have something to do with the tropical weather, the beaches, the yummy food, not to mention the music, some of my fav. I haven't been to the island of Maui since I was teenager, so it's nice to be back with different interests now as an adult. We've rented a condo and it's only my husband and I for 9 days. We do have a wedding to attend on Wednesday, but our time so far has been mostly spent lounging poolside or beach side right now, just soaking up the sun and good vibes, recharging our batteries a bit.

In knitting news, I've CO the Sonetto Shawl. I just love Judy's pattern writing style. Her charts are great, but I especially like how she writes out the steps and really explains everything throughout the pattern. Other Judy Marples' fans out there, you know what I'm talking about. Alright, gotta run, off to the beach and maybe some snorkeling today. Big Hawaiian hugs and stitches!

Enjoy your vacation! I needed to see pictures of nice, warm, sunny weather today (we're cold, wet, and dreary here in the midwest).

We went to Maui Oct or Nov 2011 and had a great time. DH was changing jobs and I was 7 weeks pregnant, so it seemed like a great time to sneak a trip in. Love the shawl pattern too! (sjn821)
